Botswana having no manufacturing facilities, does not issue its own airworthiness directives. 2. Airworthiness directives issued by States of Manufacture are mandatory for the respective aircraft when on the Botswana Register of Civil Aircraft. Method of Promulgation 1. The Department of Civil Aviation receives directives issued by the Airworthiness Authority of the country manufacturing aircraft represented on the Civil Aircraft Register. 2. All maintenance organizations must be on the appropriate mailing list for receiving directives applicable to the aircraft for which they are responsible. 3. An extension of 14 days is automatically granted to the compliance date as stated in the directive to allow for mailing time and the time required for the order and receipt of any spares required. 4. In the event of the Department of Civil Aviation considering that any Service Bulletin or similar publication issued by a manufacturer should be mandatory individual notification to this effect will be published and forwarded to the owners/ operators of the aircraft concerned. 5. Certificates of Airworthiness are not renewed unless all applicable directives have been complied with.
