SPECIAL PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO THE AIR TRANSPORT, JOINT SUPPORT AND FINANCE COMMITTEES AIR TRANSPORT, JOINT SUPPORT AND FINANCE COMMITTEES 1 The Chairman of the Committee shall hold office for one year. 2. If a Chairman vacates his office, the Council shall elect his successor for the remainder of the term of his predecessor. AIR TRANSPORT COMMITTEE 1. The Air Transport Committee shall consist of 12 Members. 2. The Members of the Air Transport Committee shall serve until the end of the term of the Council which appointed them and thereafter, in so far as the States they represent continue to be Members of the Council, until the Council elects the new Committee. 3. During periods outside of the Council phase, the President of the Council may appoint Members and Alternates of the Air Transport Committee. Council Resolution of 10 March 1961 42-8 and Council Decisions of 28 November 5 1962 47-3 and 14 March 1969 66- 12. The application of the provisions of this paragraph was suspended by the Council on 23 June 1954 22-7. This suspension is reviewed every triennium when the Council establishes its Committees.
