The purpose of this document is to provide information to aircraft and aerodrome operators with regard to the selection and development of noise abatement departure procedures designed according to the guidance in PANS-OPS, Volume I, Part I, Section 7, Chapter 3. Quantitative information regarding the effects of noise abatement departure procedures on noise and gaseous emissions are provided for a limited number of today’s commercial transport jet aircraft. The scope of this document is limited to noise abatement departure procedures that can be operated with aircraft currently in service.
