Part IV of Annex 6 was developed to establish Standards and Recommended Practices for the operation of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS). This first edition introduces the provisions required for international RPAS operations and details the information required by a State to issue an RPAS Air Operator Certificate (ROC). These requirements were developed by the RPAS Panel (RPASP) under a mandate from the Air Navigation Commission and adopted by the Council on 18 March 2024. They became effective on 22 July 2024 and became applicable on 26 November 2026.
