Doc 730012 Addendum No. 1 Additif no 1 Adendo Nbm. 1 15/9/61 Article 93 bis 0 Notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 91, 92 and 93 above I A State whose governnlent the General Assembly of the United Nntions has recommended be debarred from membership in international agencies established by or brought into relation- ship with the United Nations shall auto- matically cease to be a member of the International Civil Aviation Organiza- tion 2 A State which has been expelled from nletnbership in the United Nations shall automatically cease to be a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization unless the General Assem- bly of the United Nations attaches to its act of expulsion a recomnendation to the contrary. b A State which ceases to be a member of the International Civil Aviation Organi- zation as a result of the provisions of paragraph 0 above may, after approval by the General Assenbly of the United Nations, be readmitted to the lnternational Civil Aviation Organization upon applica- tion and upon approval by a majority of the Council. c Members of the Organization which are suspended from the exercise of the rights and privileges of nembership in the United Nations shall, upon the request of the latter, besuspended from the rights and privileges of membership in this Organiza- tion. On 27 May 1947 the Assemhly decided to amend the Chicago Convention by introducing Article 93 his. Under Article 94 cr of the Convention the amendment came inLo force on 20 March 1961 in respect of States which ratified it.
