Doc 7600/2 Amendment No. 2 1/12/ 72 STANDING RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION ORGANIZATION At its Eighteenth Session 15 June - 7 July 1971, the Assembly amended the Standing Rules of Procedure of the Assembly by amending Rules 48, 64 and 65 to read as follows Rule 48 Secret ballot The vote on any question shall be by secret ballot if the Delegations of two or more Contracting States so request and the request is not opposed. In case of opposition the question whether there shall be a secret ballot shall be decided by a majority of votes cast in secret ballot. The provisions of this Rule shall prevail over those of Rule 47. Rule 64 Languages of All preparatory documentation for or at the Assembly as well Documentation as recommendations, resolutions and decisions of the Assembly . shall be prepared and circulated in the English, French, Russian and Spanish languages. Languages of The Enghsh, French, Russian and Spanish languages may be Deliberations used in the deliberations of the Assembly and its bodies. Speeches made in any of four languages shall be interpreted into the other three languages, except where such interpretation is dispensed with by common consent. - END -
